The Multibody drawings were about the physical and mental borders between conservatism and liberalism. I like to highlight subtle and personally meaningful differences between countries. Here, I wished to showcase the ease I had grown up with in Denmark, the liberal nature in which many sunbathe topless. The casual swearing on national TV. The nudity sometimes shown in public. The early drinking age. The "yeah, do what you want" attitude... Growing up in New Zealand - my mentality turned prudish at an early age, through society and its opinion on such matters. The old Victorian commonwealth attitude still stays with some Kiwis, which fascinates me.  Detail  Detail  |
