Neo Black Nazi

In 2009 I became very aware of the ever present racism, particularly in the USA.
I read in a newspaper that the KKK and Aryan Nations proclaimed that the election of President Barack Obama was their biggest recruitment tool in America.

I was both disgusted and amazed to learn more about these white supremacists that still had a very backward way of thinking. I've always been very concerned and interested in conservatives versus liberalists in different countries and their socio political struggles in the midst of it all.

This of course prompted me to do some very loose, uncontrolled paintings.
This series of watercolors was also a finalist entry at the Henrietta & Lola Anne Tunbridge Watercolor Scholarship in 2009.
This group show was held at the George Fraser Gallery in Auckland.
